Co-op Live Celebrates 1 Million Fans

Last week, Co-op Live welcomed the 1-millionth fan through its doors, as they prepared to enjoy the first of two nights of Teddy Swims at the UK’s largest live entertainment arena. The significant milestone arrived just shy of ten months since the venue’s inaugural performance.

The celebration included a surprise giveaway of a pair of complementary tickets to a future show, a £50 Ticketmaster giftcard courtesy of the ticket agent, a signed Teddy Swims poster, Co-op Backstage Club upgrades, and £40 to spend in a local Co-op courtesy of our naming rights partner.

The moment continues a huge first year of content for the Manchester venue, which towards the end of 2024 included the first venture by MTV EMA to the city, as well as a pair of triumphant performances by the legendary Paul McCartney. 2025 has to date seen the likes of Snow Patrol and Trivium remark on the venue’s innovative design and acoustics, joining acclaim from Liam Gallagher, Don Henley and more.

The 1 millionth fan comes as the venue prepares to host Sabrina Carpenter tonight and tomorrow, and a further Teddy Swims performance on Sunday, launching into a summer of globally renowned content; not least multi-night runs by Bruce Springsteen, Billie Eilish, and Tyler The Creator, as well as a UK arena exclusive appearance by Burna Boy.

Since opening, Co-op Live has demonstrated a continual commitment to people and planet through a host of community and sustainability initiatives, including an annual donation of at least £1m to the Co-op Foundation.
