Keeping You Safe and Secure

If you are feeling unsafe during or after the event or in any danger, please make the nearest steward aware, 'Ask For Angela' at any staffed location. Our security, stewards, and front-of-house team are all here to make sure you have an incredible experience in our venue. Please don't hesitate to contact any of them with any questions you may have and if they see you looking lost or confused, they may pop over to check-in with a friendly smile.

Our friends at GMP are on-hand to keep an eye on things and provide additional resource to our already robust security operation. They're all very approachable, so please do have a chat with them about what they're up to.

Lastly, we do ask you to tell us if you feel something isn’t right. Either mention it to a steward, a security guard or a friendly police officer. Please don’t ever worry about reporting anything that doesn’t feel quite right, no matter how minor. If you do see something suspicious, please let a member of staff know as soon as possible or call the confidential Anti Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321. If it's an emergency, always call 999.

WHAT IS THE BAG POLICY?

We don’t allow large bags into the venue for security reasons. You will be allowed to take small handbags in with you, as long as they are no larger than A4 in size. We have a one bag per person policy. Backpacks, travel cases, laptop bags and large tote bags are not permitted inside the venue.

HOW DO I PREPARE FOR SECURITY SCREENING?

Co-op Live uses a frictionless security screening that detects prohibited items without you needing to empty your pockets.

Our screening is simple; please follow these 6 steps to make it as efficient as possible:

  2. Head to the entrance that is stated on your ticket.
  3. Open your app and have your tickets ready for scanning.
  4. Keep your small bag and coats on your person. There is no need to take items from your pockets, unless instructed to by our security team.
  5. Simply pass through the screening system when asked by one of the team.
  6. You may be required to undergo a further search; you’ll be instructed to head to the nearest search table if required.

Ask those children in your care to let you know when they leave the arena, how they plan to travel home and the time they expect to arrive home. If travelling on public transport/taxi, advise them to let family know who they are travelling with and how.

Encourage the children in your care not to travel alone and to stay together for the duration of the event and on their journeys home. Advise them not to go off with people they do not know.

Tell the children in your care not to enter the car or other transport of someone they do not know or have not booked through a recognised organisation.

Ensure the young people in your care keep their money and personal items secure and on their person at all times. Remember bags cannot be any larger than A4 in size.
