Co-op Live Strengthens Sustainability Commitment with ONE Planet ONE Chance® Reusable Cup System

Co-op Live continues to lead the way in sustainability with its partnership with Event Cup Solutions. Since announcing this initiative, we have seen substantial progress in reducing single-use plastic and paper cup waste at our events.

In 2024 alone, Co-op Live used 635,200 reusable cups, significantly cutting down our environmental impact. Using reusable cups has led to a remarkable saving of 5,082kg in paper cup waste and 254kg in single-use plastic waste. Additionally, our commitment to sustainability resulted in an energy saving of 130,613 kWh and a reduction of 9,410 kg CO2e emissions, demonstrating the tangible benefits of prioritising reusable solutions over disposable alternatives.

Building on this success, Event Cup Solutions has expanded its network of wash centers to further enhance efficiency and sustainability. Notably, their Manchester wash centre is located just 6 miles from Co-op Live, allowing for a low-carbon solution that keeps our reusable cup system running smoothly while further reducing transport emissions.
