Co-op Live Crowned ‘New Concert Venue of the Year’
Co-op Live, the UK’s premiere purpose-built music-first arena, is proud to announce it has been named ‘New Concert Venue of the Year (International)’ at the prestigious 36th annual Pollstar Awards 2025, the leading celebration across the global live entertainment industry.
The global accolade recognises excellence in the live entertainment industry and is awarded to a new venue outside the United States that has demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation and fan experience. Co-op Live triumphed over an impressive international shortlist, which included Estadio GNP Seguros (Mexico City, Mexico), K-Arena Yokohama (Yokohama, Japan), LDLC Arena (Decines-Charpieu, France), and UOB LIVE (Bangkok, Thailand).
Since officially opening its doors in 2024, Co-op Live has rapidly established itself as a world-class destination for artists and fans alike. Located in Manchester, the venue blends cutting-edge technology, industry-first sustainability credentials and an unrivalled live music atmosphere – setting a new global standard for concert venues.
In less than a year, the venue has welcomed over one million ticket holders through its doors and, among its globally celebrated programming, has hosted and announced twelve UK arena exclusive performances by the likes of Eagles, Pearl Jam and Travis Scott – a testament to its growing reputation as a must-play venue for global superstars. With a dynamic calendar of shows already confirmed for the summer – including Billie Eilish, Tate McRae, Tyler The Creator and an exclusive run of indoor Bruce Springsteen performances – plus more major announcements to come, Co-op Live continues to redefine the live entertainment experience.
Guy Dunstan, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Co-op Live, said: “This award is another incredible moment for everyone involved at Co-op Live. Having celebrated our most successful week for ticket sales to date in early April, it’s a proud recognition of the incredible hard work, innovation and ambition that’s gone into creating a truly world-class venue for both artists and fans – one ready and set to lead the charge globally.”
Its unique bowl design, commitment to net zero, and focus on community impact reinforce Co-op Live’s position not just as a venue, but as a cultural hub for Manchester and beyond.
